Job summary

CSL Vifor in Wichita, KS is seeking a donor center technician to support pheresis procedures. You will prepare donors, equipment, and the donor area, monitor the process, and respond to alarms to ensure donor safety and process efficiency.

You will document incidents in the PDA, link equipment to donors, and maintain accurate donor data in the electronic system. A high school diploma and basic math skills are required, with preference for healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 3 months’ work experience in medical/health provider environment preferred.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area, and equipment for pheresis.
• Prepare autopheresis machine for pheresis.
• Monitor donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms.
• Disconnect donor when the process completes.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents in the PDA and link equipment to donors.
• Link equipment and soft goods used to the appropriate donor.
• Alert supervisor to donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic system.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies and maintain confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
