Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a donor center technician to prepare donors, equipment, and the apheresis apparatus for pheresis procedures. You will monitor donors, respond to alarms, and ensure donor data is accurately recorded in the center system.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least three months' medical or health-provider experience, with basic math skills and attention to detail. Related training on safety and privacy is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness of donor reactions during/after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and machine alerts using the PDA.
• Link equipment and supplies to the correct donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the donor information system as SOPs require.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety in all actions.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at the organization's discretion.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
