Job summary

CSL Vifor in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Donor Services Technician to prepare donors and equipment for pheresis, monitor during the procedure, and respond to alarms. You will document incidents using the PDA and maintain accurate donor data in the system.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 months’ experience in a medical or health provider environment; basic math calculations are required. Safety policies and cross-training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment preferred.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA.
• Link equipment and supplies to the donor in the system.
• Escalate donor flow issues to the Group Leader or Supervisor.
• Ensure accurate donor data entry in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies and maintain a safe work environment.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organizational discretion.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
