Job summary

CSL Vifor in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Pheresis Technician to support donor pheresis procedures and ensure donor safety.

You will prepare the donor area and equipment, monitor the pheresis process, respond to alarms, and disconnect the donor when complete, while documenting incidents and linking equipment to the donor in the system.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three months of related experience; basic math skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process; responds to alarms or signals.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to donor reactions during/after pheresis and notifies staff as needed.
• Uses PDA to record incidents during pheresis and to link equipment to donors.
• Alerts supervisor of donor flow issues and ensures accurate donor data in the system.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and adheres to HSE/OSHA policies.
