Job summary

CSL Plasma in Port Saint Lucie, FL is seeking a Pheresis Technician to support donor procedures. You will prepare donors, the donor area and equipment, monitor the pheresis process and respond to alarms, then disconnect the donor when complete. You will document incidents using a PDA and ensure accurate donor data in the system.

The role emphasizes safety, clean work areas, and adherence to HSE/OSHA policies, with potential cross-training as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness to any donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and equipment data using the PDA and link equipment to donors.
• Ensure accurate donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow HSE/OSHA policies.
