Job summary

CSL Plasma in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a donor center technician to support pheresis procedures. You will prepare the donor, donor area, and equipment for pheresis, monitor the process, respond to alarms, and disconnect the donor when complete.

You will also document incidents in the PDA, link equipment to donors, and maintain accurate donor data per SOPs. Cross-training and bilingual skills may be required to meet center needs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for thepheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for thepheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and thepheresis process, respond to alarms or signals that may occur during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after thepheresis process and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents in the PDA, including machine alerts, alarms, and donor adverse events.
• Link equipment and supplies used in the pheresis process to the donor in the PDA.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor to donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Understand policies for hyper immune programs, if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available, following HSE and OSHA policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at the organization's discretion.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
