Job summary

CSL in Mishawaka, IN seeks an Apheresis Technician to prepare donors, donor areas, and equipment for pheresis. You will monitor the donor and process, respond to alarms, and disconnect the donor when the procedure ends.

Responsibilities include using a PDA to log incidents, linking equipment to donors, recording donor data per SOPs, and upholding HSE/OSHA safety and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA and link equipment to donors.
• Adhere to SOPs and health safety policies and maintain confidentiality.
