Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking personnel to support donor pheresis operations. The role focuses on preparing the donor, area, and equipment for pheresis, and on maintaining machine readiness and donor safety throughout the procedure.

You will monitor the process, respond to alarms, and document incidents using the PDA. The position may involve cross-training and handling confidential donor information according to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents in the PDA, including machine alerts, alarms, and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the donor in the PDA.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic management system.
• Follow SOPs and policies for hyper immune programs if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
