CSL Plasma is seeking a Pheresis Technician to prepare donors and equipment for the pheresis process, ensure machine readiness, and monitor donor safety during the procedure. You will document events in the PDA and coordinate with staff to maintain smooth donor flow and accurate data recording.

The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, confidentiality, and potential cross-training in other areas to meet business needs. Strong math skills and a medical environment background are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any donor reactions during or after the pheresis process and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents during the pheresis process using the PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and consumables used in the pheresis process to the donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues and ensure accurate donor data recording in the electronic system.
