Giant Eagle is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our collaborative Pharmacy team. You will help build a service-oriented environment, foster positive patient relationships, and contribute to safe, accurate, and efficient care for improving patient outcomes and overall team success.

The role is entry-level with a focus on training, compliance, and excellent patient service within our pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• 0–6 months of experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly at pharmacy entry points and assist with needs.
• Process orders in person and by phone, directing questions to the pharmacist as needed.
• Maintain a neat, compliant work environment to meet company and government requirements.
• Assist team to ensure the department runs efficiently and accurately.
• Enter data and process prescriptions to support efficient patient care.
