Qualifications

• 0–6 months of experience in a pharmacy setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to obtain registration as a pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with compassion at all pharmacy entry points.
• Assist with processing orders in person and by phone.
• Refer prescription questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a neat and compliant work environment.
• Use the pharmacy computer to manage prescriptions, inventories, and invoices.
• Support team to improve department efficiency.
• Complete required training and exams.
• Follow HIPAA and regulatory policies.
• Handle cash register and finalize sales.
• File written prescriptions daily.
