Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our collaborative pharmacy team.

You will help build a service oriented environment that focuses on accurate, safe patient care and efficient workflows, supporting pharmacists and fellow team members. This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and eligibility to obtain pharmacy technician registration; 0–6 months experience is acceptable.

Formación

• Must be eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy.
• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months.

Responsabilidades

• Welcome patients and acknowledge them with compassion and a smile at all pharmacy entry points.
• Process prescriptions and assist customers in person and by phone while directing questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a neat and clean work environment to meet company and government requirements.
• Assist team members to ensure the department runs efficiently.
• Use the pharmacy computer to complete actions: verify dates, determine pick-ups, quote cash prices, check inventory, and enter invoices.
• Assist in plans to improve outcomes using service and business metrics.
• Complete required training and exams and follow HIPAA and regulatory policies.
• Finalize sales at the point of sale following procedures.
• Transcribe prescription data to generate customer labels and manage inventory orders.
