Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our collaborative team. You’ll help build a service-focused pharmacy and develop strong relationships with patients while delivering safe, accurate care.

This entry-level position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and eligibility to obtain pharmacy technician registration. You’ll assist customers, process orders, and learn HIPAA and safety standards in a fast-paced store setting.

Qualifications

• Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or Licensing Required: Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy.
• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with compassion at all pharmacy entry points.
• Provide patient-focused service by processing orders in person and by phone.
• Direct questions concerning prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a neat, compliant work environment to meet policies and regulations.
• Assist team members to keep the department running efficiently.
• Use the pharmacy computer to complete actions for accurate and efficient service.
