Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board.
• Experience required: 0 to 6 months.
• HIPAA and privacy compliance knowledge is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn and support team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and acknowledge them with compassion at all pharmacy entry points.
• Model excellent patient care by engaging and assisting with prescriptions and over‑the‑counter questions.
• Maintain a neat, clean work environment to meet company and government requirements.
• Assist team members to keep the department running efficiently.
• Use the pharmacy computer to process actions, check inventories, and generate invoices.
• Assist in improving outcomes using service and business metrics.
• Support execution of company initiatives and training programs.
• Complete required training and exams.
• Follow all policies, laws, and HIPAA requirements, including Pseudoephedrine sales.
• Finalize sales according to POS procedures.
• Transcribe prescriptions to generate patient labels.
• Assist with inventory by ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating drugs.
• Answer phone calls politely and accurately.
• Resolve customer questions by coordinating with staff.
• File written prescriptions daily.

Education
