Giant Eagle, Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our collaborative team in the Pittsburgh area.

You will help build a service‑driven pharmacy, develop relationships with patients, process prescriptions, and support safe, accurate care to achieve outstanding patient and team outcomes. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, are 18+, and can obtain pharmacy technician registration.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Eligible to obtain pharmacy technician registration with state board.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsabilidades

• Welcome patients at pharmacy entry points with compassion.
• Process orders in person and by phone; refer questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a neat, compliant work environment meeting company/government requirements.
• Support team to keep the department running efficiently.
• Use the pharmacy computer to complete actions for drop-off, will call, drive-thru, and orders.
• Assist in improving outcomes using service and business metrics.
• Participate in company initiatives and required training programs.
• Follow policies including HIPAA and Pseudoephedrine sales.
• Transcribe prescription data to generate customer labels.
• Maintain inventory by ordering, receiving, stocking and rotating drugs.
• Answer telephone politely and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Resolve customer questions by communicating with customers and staff.
• File written prescriptions daily.
