Giant Eagle is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join a collaborative team focused on safe, accurate care and excellent patient relationships. You’ll assist with processing prescriptions, answer questions, and support daily pharmacy operations in a patient-friendly environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and eligibility to obtain state registration as a pharmacy technician. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the state board.

Responsabilités

• Welcome patients with compassion at all pharmacy entry points.
• Provide patient care by assisting with prescriptions and directing questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a neat, compliant work environment following all policies.
• Assist teammates to keep the department running efficiently.
• Use the pharmacy system to process orders, verify details, and manage will-call and drop-off tasks.
• Support company initiatives and complete required training and exams.
• Follow HIPAA, pseudoephedrine regulations, and all laws.
• Handle sales at the register and transcribe prescription data for labeling.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and assist with stock moves.
• Answer phones courteously and ensure accurate information exchange.
• Resolve customer questions by coordinating with the team and management.
