Job summary

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy in Austin, TX is hiring a Pharmacy Technician – Production to label, dispense and unit-dose pack prescriptions for our long-term care clients. This onsite role supports inventory, accuracy, and timely preparation for delivery in a busy facility.

Requires active TX State Board of Pharmacy Technician license, basic math skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Responsibilities

• Pull stock and stage prescriptions for packaging.

• Perform quality checks as directed.
• Prepare orders for delivery and assist as needed.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will actively label and dispense prescription orders, including providing unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards). You may also address the organizing, categorizing, and preparing of finalized prescriptions for delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Pull correct stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions for packaging.
• Accurately dispense and label prescription orders.
• When appropriate, prepare unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards) based on the directions for use, either by hand or using packaging machines.
• When appropriate, pull the correct pre-packed blister card and affix prescription labels.
• Sort and organize completed prescriptions.
• Perform quality assurance checks as directed.
• Prepare orders for delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Skills & Abilities

• Must possess an active TX State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
• Can perform pharmacy calculations.
• Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions.
• Ability to complete projects promptly.
• Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times and traverse close quarters quickly.
• Must be able to stand on feet for the duration of an eight (8) hour shift.
