Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy in Austin, TX is hiring a Shipping Clerk to sort and prepare prescriptions for shipment. The role supports our long-term care pharmacy services and requires teamwork with pharmacists and technicians.

Hours are M-F 9:00am-5:30pm CST. We offer competitive compensation, healthcare benefits, a 401(k), PTO and a positive work environment. Training provided and room to grow.

Qualifications

• Ability to multitask and collaborate with shipping and pharmacy staff.
• Understanding basic packaging and shipping processes.
• Ability to improve shipping department processes.
• Able to learn company locations and structure.
• Ability to sort and distribute medications accurately.
• Able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Complete projects on time with minimal supervision.
• Excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Use handheld scanner to capture barcode data.
• Prepare packages for delivery with packing lists and routing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Shipping Clerk, you will sort and organize completed prescriptions and prepare products for shipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Sort and organize completed prescriptions
• Use Pharmacy operating software and Dispatch and Routing software
• Use handheld Scanner to capture bar code digital information
• Prepare packages for delivery: print Packing Lists, inspect for accuracy, stage, and route
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to multi-task and work with other members of the shipping and distribution team as well as Pharmacists and Technicians
• Understanding of basic production processes for packaging and shipping
• Ability to develop continuous improvements in the shipping department
• Basic understanding of, or the ability to learn, locations and organizational structure of the company
• Ability to correctly sort and distribute large amounts of medications
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
• Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance
• Must be able to speak and write English

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

• FedEx Shipping / Overnight Shipping Experience is a Plus
• Experience working in a Commercial Pharmacy is a Plus

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pulling, speaking, listening
• Must be able to occasionally lift bulk packaging weighing up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to traverse close quarters easily
