Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the pharmacist, under supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, and performing other pharmacy duties per company policies.
• Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in system operation.
• Delivering exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with customers.

Customer Experience

• Greeting customers and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices with team members.

Operations

• Supporting pharmacy operations, including data entry, prescription filling, verifying medications, and assisting with inventory management.
• Reporting prescription errors and adhering to quality and safety policies.
• Handling sales transactions, assisting customers in locating products, and supporting clinical services as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, organized pharmacy environment and supporting external relationships with healthcare providers.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through training and continuing education.
• Participating in additional training to stay current with healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Qualifications

External Basic Qualifications:

• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking) (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• Previous experience with Walgreens preferred.
• Strong math, computer, and inventory control skills preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.
