Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy. Support other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians in operating pharmacy systems and cashiers in managing pharmacy cash registers.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medications, and assisting with workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management activities and maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with the medical community and support pharmacy outreach efforts.
• Ensure the pharmacy environment is stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification requirements.
• Attend training sessions and acquire continuing education credits to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
