Responsibilities:

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Support other Pharmacy Department duties as per company policies and procedures.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy systems and cash register operations.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage with customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share and model customer service best practices, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits, to all team members.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party prescription claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management, maintain pharmacy cleanliness and orderliness, and support clinical services and outreach activities.
• Maintain good relationships with the local medical community and ensure the pharmacy environment is well-stocked and maintained.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification requirements. Certification may be a condition for promotion.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.
