Responsibilities
  1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Support other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies and procedures.
  2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in their respective operations.
  3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Customer Experience
  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
  • Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.
Operations
  • Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
  • Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality improvement policies.
  • Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and support inventory management activities.
  • Support clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
  • Maintain the pharmacy environment, ensuring it is stocked, clean, and orderly.
Training & Personal Development
  • Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state requirements. Certification may be a condition for promotion.
  • Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
