Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our patient-facing team. You will handle inbound and outbound calls with patients and pharmacies, schedule medication refills, and assist in processing prescriptions while resolving claim issues.

Your role includes checking status, updating records, and collaborating with pharmacists and providers to clarify orders. The position requires 1–3 years of Pharmacy Technician experience, a high school diploma or GED, state registration

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician experience (1–3 years preferred).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Pharmacy Technician state registration where applicable.
• National certification (CPhT/PTCB).
• Strong communication and phone skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet workspace.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound and outbound patient and pharmacy calls.
• Call patients to schedule and complete medication refills.
• Help process prescriptions and resolve claim issues.
• Check prescription status and update patient records.
• Work with pharmacists and providers to clarify orders.
• Provide friendly, helpful support to patients and partners.
• Use systems to track work and keep information up to date.
