Job summary

Lewis Drug is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Minnesota to support pharmacists in preparing and distributing prescriptions. The role emphasizes patient advocacy, adherence to policy, and accurate data entry across pharmacy software.

The position offers a friendly team environment with tasks ranging from customer service to prescription processing, under the supervision of the Chief Pharmacist and Staff Pharmacist.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic drug terminology.
• Ability to learn differences between brand and generic drugs.
• Must be able to perform basic pharmaceutical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service to patients and store customers.
• Assist in learning Lewis Drug policies and procedures and perform them daily.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Answer patient questions and troubleshoot promptly.
• Process new and refill prescriptions within scope of practice.
• Prepare paperwork and compile medications for delivery and mail orders.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
