Job summary

Lewis Drug Stores in Minnesota is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Chief Pharmacist and Staff Pharmacist. You will assist in preparing and distributing prescription medications while upholding Lewis Drug policy and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes patient advocacy, accurate drug compounding, patient education, and compliant handling of PHI under HIPAA. It requires strong customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• Register with state BOP as applicable.
• PTCB certification recommended.
• Minnesota, Iowa, and SD state requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service to patients in the pharmacy.
• Process new and refill prescriptions within scope.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and protect patient information.
• Answer patient questions and troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Log into pharmacy software and perform daily technician tasks.
• Stock and prepare medications and assist with deliveries.
• Support drive-thru patients and assist in all pharmacy operations.
