Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a pharmacy technician to support the operation of the pharmacy. You will join a team delivering high-quality patient care and engage in extemporaneous compounding, IV admixtures, and inventory management.

Role requires one year of pharmacy experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy plus BLS certification. Hospital setting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in pharmacy or as a technician.
• Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the TSBP and BLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in accordance with policies and procedures and infection control standards.
• Coordinates daily workflow and provides leadership to other technicians; extemporaneous compounding and unit-dose preparation as per policy.
• Fills orders, performs IV calculations and admixtures with proper aseptic technique; handles intravenous chemotherapy as scheduled.
