Job summary

Required: High School Diploma, 4 years as a pharmacy technician, 2 years in advanced concentration, Texas licensure (TSBP) as Pharmacy Technician, and sterile compounding certification, with the ability to work rotating
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Licenses/Certifications: TSBP Registered Pharmacy Technician; Pharmacist Intern with TSBP; Sterile compounding certification.
- Knowledge/Abilities: basic computer skills, data entry, organizational abilities, and good communication.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily workflow in assigned area and provide leadership to technicians.
- Receive calls from patients, nurses, physicians, triage based on urgency.
- Audit and sign out all controlled substances per guidelines and resolve discrepancies.
- Sterile and hazardous compounding: prepare sterile admixtures and handle hazardous medications.
