Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Pharmacy Technician at Main Campus to join our hospital pharmacy team. The night shift is 8pm–7am with a 7-on/7-off schedule and weekend work required; previous hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

Under supervision of the Pharmacy Coordinator or Pharmacist, you will perform extemporaneous compounding, prepare IV admixtures, manage inventory, and ensure accurate charges and restocking.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in pharmacy or as a technician.
• Licenses: Texas REG PHARMACY TECHNICIAN Upon Hire and BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in accordance with policies and procedures and supports performance improvement.
• Coordinates daily workflow and provides leadership to technicians; performs extemporaneous compounding.
• Prepares unit-dose packaging and enters charges; restocks returns.
• Performs IV calculations and prepares IV admixtures using aseptic technique; handles IV chemotherapy as needed.
• Maintains inventory and monitors PAR levels; processes orders and ensures timely delivery.
• Maintains clean, organized work environment and communicates effectively with staff and patients.
