Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking an Advanced Pharmacy Technician who will perform sterile compounding for Aston Infusion Clinic and Ambulatory Infusion, following USP 797/800 standards and Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations.

The position requires a high school diploma, 4 years of pharmacy technician experience with 2 years in a specialized area, TSBP registration or PHARM INTERN, ACPE sterile compounding certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 4 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, and 2 years in a specialized area.
• Licenses: Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration as a Registered Technician or Pharmacy Intern; ACPE Sterile Compounding certification; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs sterile compounding for Aston Infusion Clinic and Ambulatory Infusion per USP 797/800 and state regulations.
• Coordinates daily workflow and provides leadership to other technicians.
• Audits and signs out all controlled substances; resolves discrepancies and ensures compliance.
• Handles sterile & hazardous compounding tasks including inventory management and drug preparation.
• Assists with Investigational Drug Services activities and equipment operation.
