Job summary

Actalent in Cary, NC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our growing specialty pharmacy. This role involves working in an office with no direct patient contact, focusing on insurance coordination, MIS data entry, and supporting reverification projects.

The position is onsite with shifts 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm or 11am-8pm EST, Monday to Friday. It offers a competitive hourly pay range and benefits for eligible staff as described in the job posting.

Qualifications

• CPhT certification preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years related experience.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to communicate about insurance types.
• Experience in customer service and handling prior authorizations.
• Proficiency in data entry and retail pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and communicate about insurance types and when to use each type.
• Enter all communication and documentation in the Biologics MIS.
• Assist with yearly reverification projects.
• Communicate with patients to gather insurance information.
• Triage prescriptions to preferred pharmacies or HUB providers.
• Process pharmacy claims in the Biologics MIS.
• Recognize and understand pharmacy claim responses.
• Manage inbound calls from patients, clients, physicians, and payors.
