Qualifications

• Experience: 0 to 6 months.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing: Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy.
• Age: At least 18 years of age.
• Lifting: Up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with compassion at all pharmacy entry points.
• Provide patient care by assisting with prescriptions and over‑the‑counter questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a neat, compliant work environment to meet company and government requirements.
• Assist team members to keep the department running efficiently.
• Use pharmacy computer to process actions, check inventories, and quote prices.
• Follow company policies, HIPAA, and relevant regulations.
• Finalize sales at the point of sale and prepare labels for customers.
• Help maintain proper inventory levels by ordering, receiving, stocking and rotating drugs.
