Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Transitions of Care Services at Aurora Medical Center Oshkosh. The role focuses on obtaining medication histories and coordinating with the care team to ensure accurate records and safe patient care.

The position requires 40 hours/week, with AM/PM shifts and every-other-weekend work. Valid state board licensure as a pharmacy technician and CPhT or ExCPT certification are required. High school diploma or GED is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• For technicians with validating responsibilities— an Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy Technology is required.
• Typically requires 3 years of experience in health care, insurance, pharmacy, or medical background.

Responsibilities

• Completes area-specific work according to standard processes and policies.
• Serves as an expert with equipment and technology in the area.
• Solves technical issues in the specialized area as they arise.
• Ensures documents and records are accurate and timely.
• Supports communication with patients and care team.
• Partners with leadership to adopt best practices and quality improvements.
