Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare IV admixtures, unit dose syringes, and chemotherapy medications for the critical care and OR satellite areas. The role involves compounding solutions and maintaining adequate stock levels, while adhering to SOPs and regulations.

The position expects the successful candidate to work with pharmacy and technical staff to define best practices and perform duties as a Pharmacy Technician as needed.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures preferred.
• PHRMTECH-R – Registered Pharmacy Technician with state Board of Pharmacy current registration upon hire required.
• PTCB Certification preferred.
