Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist with IV admixtures and the preparation of unit dose syringes and chemotherapy medications for critical care and OR satellite areas.

You will maintain stock levels, work with pharmacy and technical staff to follow procedures, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and support patient safety and efficient medication delivery in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures preferred.
• PHRMTECH-R - Registered Pharmacy Technician; current state Board of Pharmacy registration upon hire; PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admixtures of medications to IV solutions.
• Prepare unit dose syringes and chemotherapy medications.
• Compound solutions/medications for critical care and OR areas.
• Maintain adequate stock levels in assigned areas.
• Follow standard procedures and state/federal regulations; assist pharmacy staff as needed.
