Job summary

Piedmont Macon Medical is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for PRN, variable shifts in the Macon, GA area. You will assist in preparing IV admixtures, unit-dose syringes, and chemotherapy medications, contributing to patient safety and workflow.

Responsibilities include maintaining stock, following standard procedures, and collaborating with pharmacy and technical staff to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• GED required.
• Professional pharmacy technician background preferred.

• Maintaining adequate stock levels in assigned areas.
• Functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations.
• Works with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practice.
• Functions in duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.

Work Experience

• Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• PHRMTECH-R - Registered Pharmacy Technician Current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required
• PTCB Certification Preferred
