Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support IV admixtures, unit dose preparation, and sterile product handling in the critical care and OR satellite areas. You will maintain stock levels and follow standard procedures to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, prior pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures preferred, current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy, and PTCB certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Current registration with state Board of Pharmacy required on hire; PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the admixtures of medications to IV solutions. Preparation of unit dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounding of solutions/medications used in the critical care and OR satellite areas. Maintaining adequate stock levels in assigned areas. Functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. Works with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practice. Functions in duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.
