Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support IV admixtures, unit-dose preparation, and sterile compounding in critical care and OR satellite areas.

You will maintain stock, follow procedures, and collaborate with pharmacy and technical staff to ensure safe, compliant medication preparation. Current state Board of Pharmacy registration and PTCB preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures preferred.
• Current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admixtures of medications to IV solutions in assigned areas.
• Preparation of unit dose syringes, chemotherapy meds, and compounding.
• Maintain adequate stock levels in assigned areas.
• Work with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document rules and best practice.
• Perform Pharmacy Technician duties as needed.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the admixtures of medications to IV solutions. Preparation of unit dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounding of solutions/medications used in the critical care and OR satellite areas. Maintaining adequate stock levels in assigned areas. Functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. Works with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practice. Functions in duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.
