Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Pharmacy Sales Consultant to drive growth with community pharmacies across Maryland and West Virginia, ideally in the Baltimore metro area. This field-based role requires travel and remote/home office work, with 70% overnight travel to customers.

You will lead consultative sales efforts, develop strategic plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to position McKesson as a trusted partner.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of sales experience with track record of delivering results.
• 2+ years medical and/or pharmacy experience.
• 4+ years of B2B field sales experience.
• Experience in retail/distribution, healthcare delivery, pharmacy, or insurance advantageous.
• Proficiency with a CRM tool (e.g., Salesforce).
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Consultative sales approach to identify customer needs.
• Excellent analysis, problem solving, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual budget objectives for assigned sales territory.
• Build a comprehensive business plan to optimize short- and long-term territory performance.
• Lead the execution of a consultative sales process from qualification to contract negotiations for all opportunities within assigned territory.
• Build a robust opportunity funnel by organic (cold calling) and coordinated efforts.
• Provide customers with marketing and financial guidance to formulate plans and opportunities.
• Develop sales proposals, reviews, and presentations to grow existing business or win new accounts.
• Maintain detailed data in Salesforce CRM and provide accurate forecasts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customers and pursue growth.
