Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to coordinate timely delivery of medications to patients at discharge and to support bedside counseling.

You will complete point-of-sale transactions at bedside and work with care teams to provide high-quality service to patients and families in a fast-paced environment.

Eligible candidates must have a high school diploma and Alabama registration as a Pharmacy Technician, with completion of Huntsville Hospital customer service courses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must register with Alabama State Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire date and in good standing.
• Complete Huntsville Hospital customer service courses (Power of Excellence #3 and Service Recovery) within 180 days of hire.

Job description

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required

Education:

High school diploma or GED required. Required to complete Huntsville Hospital customer service courses, including, but not limited to: Power of Excellence #3 and Service Recovery within 180 days of hire date.

Registration:

Must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician within 30 days of hire date, and registration must be in good standing active.

Additional Skills/Abilities:

Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Proficiency in basic math applications and analyses required.
