Job summary

Huntsville Hospital in Alabama seeks a licensed Pharmacist to monitor drug therapy, ensure optimal patient outcomes, and advise on cost-effective pharmacotherapeutic options. The role includes accurate medication distribution and supporting nutritional and pharmacokinetic regimens.

You will oversee pharmacy technicians, collaborate with clinicians, and participate in a dynamic, patient-centric care team. A PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy with Alabama licensure is required; residency strongly

• Proof of current AHA BLS must be provided or obtained by end of orientation period.

Job description

Monitors drug therapy to improve patient outcome and quality of care, recommends rational and cost-effective pharmacotherapeutic alternatives and provides accurate and efficient medication distribution. Implements and evaluates nutritional support and pharmacokinetic regimens. Supervises pharmacy technical staff.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor degree in pharmacy or doctor of pharmacy degree from an accredited university with license to practice pharmacy in Alabama required; completion of post graduate pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical experience strongly preferred. Proof of current AHA BLS must be provided or obtained by the end of the orientation period.

Experience: Completion of post graduate pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical practice strongly preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be proficient in mathematics.
