Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to coordinate timely delivery of medications to patients at discharge and to support bedside counseling.

You will complete point-of-sale transactions at bedside and work with care teams to provide high-quality service to patients and families in a fast-paced environment.

Eligible candidates must have a high school diploma and Alabama registration as a Pharmacy Technician, with completion of Huntsville Hospital customer service courses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must register with Alabama State Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire date and in good standing.
• Complete Huntsville Hospital customer service courses (Power of Excellence #3 and Service Recovery) within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medications to bedside at discharge.
• Counsel patients on medication therapy.
• Process bedside point-of-sale transactions.
• Maintain high quality care and service to patients and families.
