Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a motivated individual to manage pharmacy technicians and assist with departmental operations within the hospital pharmacy. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate holds a High school diploma or GED and is registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician, with national certification (PTCB or ExCPT) in good standing.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• License, Certification and/or Registration: Must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician, and registration must be in good standing.
• National certification with PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT (Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians) is required; active status within 30 days of expiration provides a 30-day grace period.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
• Thorough understanding of all basic pharmacy technician job responsibilities.
