Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Licensed or eligible for reciprocity in the applicable state.
• Minimum 2 years' work experience in pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Decides on employment, promotion, discipline and termination of pharmacy staff in collaboration with Pharmacy Leadership.
• Evaluates staff performance annually and ensures regulatory compliance with DEA, FDA and state boards.
• Oversees pharmacy staffing and scheduling to ensure safe patient care.
• Coordinates interdepartmental and intradepartmental services and participates in committees.
• Ensures policies and procedures promoting safe and effective use of medications are followed.
• Assists in planning of new or revised pharmacy services based on innovations, technology and regulatory changes.
• Assesses and improves the performance of the pharmacy services provided; ongoing care assessment.
• Coordinates implementation plans and supports decisions by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
• Initiates proper training of pharmacy teammates in area of responsibilities.
• Designs, recommends, monitors and evaluates patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens.
• Supervises daily preparation and dispensing of all pharmaceuticals.
