Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin is seeking a Pharmacy Leader to oversee operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive safe patient care across the pharmacy team. The role collaborates with Pharmacy Leadership on employment decisions and performance evaluations, while guiding staffing and interdepartmental coordination.

Required is a PharmD or B.Pharm, licensure or reciprocity readiness, and at least 2 years of pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy is required.
• Licensed in the state or eligible for reciprocity is required.
• 2 years of work related experience in pharmacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Makes decisions regarding employment, promotion, discipline, and termination of pharmacy team members in collaboration with Pharmacy Leadership.
• Evaluates pharmacy teammate job performances on an annual basis.
• Oversees pharmacy staffing and scheduling to ensure safe patient care.
• Coordinates and integrates interdepartmental and intradepartmental services and participates in various committees.
• Ensures that policies and procedures promoting safe and effective use of medications are followed.
• Assists in the planning of new and/or revised pharmacy services based on new innovations, technology and/or regulatory changes.
• Assesses and improves the performance of the pharmacy services provided.
• Coordinates the implementation plan and supports decisions made by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
• Initiates the proper training of pharmacy teammates in area of responsibilities.
• Designs, recommends, monitors and evaluates patient specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens
• Supervises daily preparation and dispensing of all pharmaceuticals.
