Job summary

Amazon Pharmacy in Springfield, VA seeks a Pharmacy Manager to oversee boutique site operations, ensuring safety, quality and customer excellence. You will lead a small team of pharmacists and technicians, manage dispensing workflows, and ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a PharmD or science degree, active pharmacist license, and experience in Lean/process improvement.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license in all states requiring Non-resident PIC.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, quality, performance and customer experience of operations.
• Manage daily site operations and meet CPT times for same-day deliveries.
• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness and advise prescribers as needed.
• Set expectations for staff, measure performance and provide feedback.
• Educate staff on policy, guidelines and quality practices.
• Lead Lean and process-improvement initiatives to hit operating plans.
• Coordinate with leadership to manage workflow and escalations.
• Ensure compliance with local/state/federal pharmacy laws and licensure.
• Maintain licensure with state boards and align with accrediting bodies.
• Develop talent and lead workforce to drive performance and engagement.
• Implement new processes to reduce cost to serve and improve service.
