Amerita, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Operations Manager (Pharmacist In Charge) to lead the Bentonville, AR branch pharmacy operations. You will oversee pharmacy services, inventory, compounding, dispensing, and delivery, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and active Pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Demonstrated pharmacy experience and knowledge of federal/state long-term care regulations.
• Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and computer use.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards.
• Supervise and direct pharmacy staff in scheduling, purchasing, and clinical responsibilities.
• Collaborate to implement efficient daily operations and quality improvement or cost containment strategies.
• Provide clinical and technical support to pharmacy and regional staff, fostering a team-based care model.
• Respond to pharmaceutical inquiries from customers and internal staff with accurate guidance.
• Maintain patient records including medical history, lab data, and concurrent medications.
• Document communications with healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers in the pharmacy system.
• Enforce safe procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal of medications.
• Document clinical interventions in the patient’s medical record.
• Perform additional duties to support the pharmacy team and patient care goals.
