Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivering patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting and verification.
• Handle non-clinical calls and ensure insurance processing; follow up with payers as needed.
• Lead training and performance management of pharmacy technicians and ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain efficient pharmacy workflow and exceptional customer experience; coordinate with management on staffing and scheduling.
