Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full‑time certified pharmacy technician to support non‑clinical pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. Under a pharmacist, you will process prescriptions and supervise technicians, while leading training and performance management.

You will assist in patient registration, data entry, vaccine administration opportunities, and inventory management, with strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification.
• At least 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities under supervision.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Lead training, coaching and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
• Assist pharmacist in patient care including registration, data entry, and preparation of medications.
• Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and manage relationships with providers.
• Manage inventory, reports, and recordkeeping, ensuring compliance with laws and policies.
