Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and customer service in a retail setting. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will assist with patient registration, prescription data entry, and medication preparation.

Delivery of efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience will be a focus, including training and performance management of technicians and coordinating with the Pharmacy Manager on policy adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivering patient care including patient registration and prescription data entry.
• Prepare medications for patients and verify they are correctly counted under supervision.
• Lead training, coaching and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
• Manage technician hiring, onboarding, training and scheduling.
