Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a full-time, certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and ensure efficient workflow under pharmacist supervision.

The role includes patient data entry, prescription processing, and collaboration with pharmacy staff to deliver quality care and a positive patient experience. Leadership responsibilities include training and supervising technicians and managing inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital settings.
• Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English clearly.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations under supervision to ensure efficient workflow.
• Assist pharmacist with patient care activities including prescription data entry and medication preparation.
• Lead training, coaching and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
• Manage inventory, records, and reporting in compliance with laws and company policies.
• Support vaccine administration, health screenings, and other services where allowed by law.
• Ensure accurate insurance processing and address payer issues with providers and patients.
